Hawk I saw that article a few days ago, and posted how disappointed I was that the FDA used the "excuse" of a prolonged QT interval to disapprove of its use as a first line agent for Covid 19. I believe that it works by preventing the cytokine (inflammatory response proteins) storm that leads to the most severe form of the illness, by down-regulating that part of the immune system. As happens so often in medicine, it was a coincidental finding that it was noticed that those patients already on Plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine) did not get coronavirus
