If this deal go through as is, I will buy CPQ stock and hold.
As DEC has many layer of management, and conservative managers heavy, a consolidation (AKA lay-off) would yield much higher RONA for DEC. The revenue increase would be very good too IMO.

You know CPQ must be good to pull this merger of at this time frame. Had they delay in their talk, they would have to pay much more for this deal. Can you imagine DEC with INTEL deal in place supporting the EPS bottom line, together with a rebound in TECH stocks? A premium on top of DEC market cap at that time would make DEC at least $80/share. -:(
