Actually the U.S. is a democratic republic But that might be too complicated for your trump-humping pea brain to grasp It's a combination of the two. Democracy and Republic. No determinations are carried, it is true, in a simple representative democracy, but by consent of the majority or their representatives. John Adams, 1784 Hmm. Actually, since you want to get technical, the U.S. is a constitutional democratic republic. I kept it simple, addressing the apparent assertion that the U.S. is a "democracy," which it isn't. I hope and trust that isn't too complicated to grasp.
