Fifth amendment plea in 5...4...3...2...1....

Have you ever believed something and stated it as a fact, only to learn later after receiving additional information that you were wrong?

applied to Flynn. I have not been following Flynn redux--the original round exhausted me--so maybe I missed something.

It seems to me that one should always differentiate between one's beliefs and one's facts and not present beliefs as facts, that beliefs should be framed as such. Now, it may just be a sloppy failure to differentiate or it may be an honest memory glitch. It may or may not be a crime. But the world has a way of handing out penalties for sloppy thinking, not just crimes.

In any event, I could not analyze the aptness of the notion of using that as an excuse without knowing which belief it was that Flynn held that turned out not to be true.
