I'm a climate skeptic and run a thread on SI called Politics of Energy, which deals with energy and climate issues.

Its a complicated subject and OT here, but a couple big picture things to consider::

First, we know that the earth was warmer during the Holocene Climate Optimum. This wasn't a catastrophe, in fact, the climate was better (for us) then than now. No arctic "methane bomb" exploded, not even when the permafrost that extended to Seattle and Boston melted. There was no runaway warming. So why think we're in a climate crisis now?
