Likely the government knows they will allow these loans to not be repaid. I you allowed a free sum of money and allowed the expensing of this money it would be double dipping

Interest rates?

Less clear, because we do not know when market might wrestle control of rates from the CBs

In the meantime, the view from my temporarily adopted domicile nation is pretty clear, on monthly to 20-years horizon, even if totally wrong on 24-hours view
