You said that most people who get the coronavirus "never even notice because the symptoms are so mild."

From what I've read about it, that isn't true at all.

So you ARE treating this disease as if it isn't serious ... except for those most vulnerable at least.

-------------------

Re your suggested reading, it starts off by saying

now we are predicting about 60 thousand deaths.

We are already at 80,000 deaths. Clearly your source is nonsense.

Those who want to continue the lockdown indefinitely should show clear evidence regarding the benefits of indefinite lockdown. There needs to be a clear reliable model that shows how many additional lives will be saved considering we have already flattened the curve and there is essentially no further risk of overwhelming the health care system. The previous models were wrong. The consequences of indefinite lockdown are quite staggering, to the tune of one million jobs lost per day.

....I originally bought into this flattening the curve theory in order to not overwhelm the metro NYC health care system.....But the models were way off and there was/is no risk of that. The current infection rates in NYC and adjoining counties is less than 10% of those tested. It had previously been over 50% with similar numbers of testing per day. The entire state should be opened no late than May 15

I'm fine with that! Can you get Trump and the Republicans to put all the vulnerable on a UBI? I'll happily stay safe while you get infected. Do it!
