The latest out of beijing per WeChat dialogue w/ friend who at the beginning of the year was in Hainan vacation home, and migrated to second home in Hangzhou, and just yesterday back to primary abode in Beijing, and friend reports that everything is open, airports, train stations, hotels, etc etc and no quarantine in necessary if one’s point of origin is another China location, but, ... drumroll ... big but, should the phone app show you just arrived w/i 14 days, there are many locations you are not allowed to enter.

Some office buildings and such still require temperature taking.

Seems the universe is bifurcated a lot of different ways.

The reopening in Korea and Germany did not go swimmingly, and Wuhan has five new cases after sometime without any, for it seems that some previously asymptomatic cases somehow switched ‘on’. I do not know the biological basis to the switching-on, but can guess that it may matter should folks want it to matter, and it might matter in any case.

Whilst I remain agnostic, I can see how re-openings can go wrong, and if leads to second closings, then all bets off, and even consolation price may not matter.
