A families finances are known to both spouses and there is a duty not just to avoid conflicts of interest, but also the appearance of conflicts of interest. She knows that. Whether or not she was actually involved, it appears that she could have given her husband insider information. That means, she is guilty in the eyes of the law. However, as you well know, all of these leaders get away with their corrupt behavior all the time. Insider trading among Congress members is such an open secret, because none of them are ever held accountable. Have you ever wondered how these people come into Congress broke and then somehow become millionaires? It's not an accident. Just keep an eye on Ilhan Omar and AOC. Watch how within a year or two, they will be swimming in money on their $174K per year salaries. You may wonder how on that salary they can afford to rent or won a place in Georgetown, where many of them live and also own or rent a place in their home states. The answer is that they cannot, but they find other creative and illegal ways of making money. For example, Ilhan and AOC both funnel money from their campaign funds to their boyfriends businesses, and more than likely get some form of kickbacks. They will both be given under the table Board of Director positions at large companies. They will be given speaking engagements where they get $50-100K per hour of speaking. They will be given book deals, sponsored by their favorite lobbyists with connections to publishing houses. Generally, a loud and obnoxious House Member who purposely makes an enemy or two, will find that enemy giving them large amounts of money in any of the above ways. For those that aren't controversial enough, they'll do some insider trading and lever up. Most, if not all, will be millionaires within a term or two. Our system is corrupt. This is bipartisan. Both parties do it. Anyone who denies it is part of the problem. Are you a part of the problem?
