Unless it was all set up over the years as a "go-to" legend.
Until I see official recognition of the GSM/pole shift consequences, my standing view is that any such expected consequence (such as a global viral pandemic) is already slated to be covered over in order to avoid official recognition.

I am assuming there is an intention to use ignorance of those consequences as the main weapon.
