Check the recent posts on the MIDL thread. Ga Bard answered my questions on the preferred over there.

Dusty MIDLP is the 54K float perferred shares that convert to 35 common shares per perferred. They have their own market and you can trade it like a regular stock until Oct 1998 at which time they will automatically convert in your account. The MIDL is merely the common with a float of 1.1M.
