I guess it's no win situation for Ancor, If they did not have the new switch, you would have cried for a new switch. So, I think all this discussion is BS.

Still long ANCR.

Pierre

Whatever the case, the switch is not selling.

You sure of that Janski? If so the stock is way overvalued. Time to make some easy cash and go short!

>>>>Perhaps there are integration ,problems, perhaps the switch market won't really develop for a while, perhaps Brocade is coming out with a better and cheaper one soon?Whatever the case, the switch is not selling.<<<....and perhaps the switch is only available as of very very recently and perhaps Litton bought some of the old switches, and perhaps Brocade can't figure out how to get AL inside the switch for a reasonable price, and perhaps ANCR has the BEST PERFORMING SWITCH at the MOST COMPETITIVE PRICING and perhaps an OEM may realize this and perhaps SUN will realize this and perhaps perhaps perhaps.........and then perhaps not.......

Schlumberger <SLB.N> unit wins Kazakh contract

I found this artilcle and thought it might be note worthy. Schlumberger owns the company which purchased several switches to solve their off shore bandwidth problems. I wonder if the switches will be used for this sizable prodject or if more switches will be purchased.

HOUSTON, Jan 23 (Reuters) - A division of oilfield services company Schlumberger Ltd has been awarded a contract for a 3-dimensional survey covering 1,152 square kilometres in Kazakhstan, the company said on Friday.

Schlumberger Geco-Prakla said that the contract on the Tengiz field was the largest 3D land seismic project awarded in the former Soviet Union.

Seismic studies on the field, which has an estimated six to nine billion barrels of oil reserves, started in December and will run for 12 months.

The Tengizchevroil consortium groups U.S. oil major Chevron Corp <CHV.N>, with 45 percent, Kazakhstan and Mobil Corp <MOB.N> of the U.S., 25 percent each, and LUKARCO, a venture between Russia's LUKoil <LKOH.RTS> and ARCO <ARC.N> of the U.S., five percent.
