Here's a semi-interesting, very cursory review in today's Washington Post of the floppy situation. What I find most notable is the apparent lack of depth of knowledge about the details of the various options by a local computer expert.

IMHO, this is a good example of why a $100mm ad campaign is just what IOM needs. I can't understand the reasoning behind a preference for a stock buyback. By my quick calculations, a $50mm buyback at $9 would have minimal impact on EPS. Applied to last quarter's numbers, it would have raised their basic EPS from 13.85 cents to 14.20.
