Yes. Both liberal states and both filled with dictatorial politicians. People who have the liberal mindset are like sheep going to slaughter. They are so fearful of everything they become blind to those who would oppress them. History is clear on this. I'm sure you have seen the pictures of sheep who have been attacked by wild dogs or coyotes & wolves. Power made politicians play to the liberals' fears and thus deprive them of humanity in the end. Conservatives tend to see danger when it is on the horizon and are much harder to exploit. They are also self starters and are much more likely to survive calamity
