Tenchu and mindmeld are stupidly complaining that Americans wearing masks and being quarantined means surrender to the "surveillance state". Little minds think alike.

Exactly. It's alarming that Communism and its tenets are now so popular among the liberals in the US. How can a failed ideology be gaining such traction? I understand that there is a very high level of ignorance and lack of historical knowledge and perspective among the younger generations. So there is that. However, I think it also boils down to the Fed's actions, which have so clearly exacerbated the rich/poor divide by levitating asset prices, in the midst of government orders to forcibly put 36M people out of work through the lockdown. Unfortunately, the US has been so tied in with Capitalism for so long in everyone's minds, that when something goes wrong in the US, they automatically blame Capitalism, even though you and I know that the Federal Reserve is antithetical to Capitalism and really resembles most closely a Communist Politburo for Central Economic Planning that would be found in countries like the former USSR, current China, Cuba, or Venezuela. So is it any wonder that those 36M people and the liberal hordes think Capitalism is a bad system? I can see how they make that mistake, but I wish Americans were more educated, so they could assign blame where it belongs: The Federal Reserve.
