I thought this was a pretty good article. No frills, just facts. Its the kind of news one can answer. For example, IFMX does have the financing to be competetive, it does have the technology and it is going to be there to service the accounts. Turn arounds are never easy, but when they happen it makes for great rewards.

This article reiterates my primary concern with Informix -- difficulty in winning new business. We've seen several articles now that confirm that Informix is gaining respect in the marketplace. This is very good news that will aid Informix in closing new deals in the future.

Ref. electronic commerce -- I still believe that ERP vendors will be the direct benefactors from this revolution, not the DB vendors. DB vendors like Informix will benefit indirectly through increased ERP sales. Productive ERP vendor relationships = increased DB sales from e-merce. That's the ticket, IMO. Few companies will be building e-merce apps from scratch.
