Cases surge or Cases disappear The time frames here are pretty clear. China to nearby Asian countries took awhile. Things are still cooling down in Italy. Then the rest of Europe, Spain, France the UK. Then the US, it hit New York really hard, right away to nearby places and other big cities.. Seems to be picking up steam now in quite a few places. Texas, Florida even California, cases surge. All of this occurs as we are locked down and actively avoiding each other. So now it's open up and party, not good. It seems pretty clear to me that it is going to go, well, everywhere Bolsonaro is responsible for the devastation in Brazil, cases surge. India continues to fight. The second wave may get started in earnest anytime. The SIDARTHE data suggests there will be a large increase in US deaths. This increase in deaths that the model demonstrates has nothing to do with the collapse of the medical system that often occurs when cases surge. This is the best data, peer reviewed and multiply authored using the data right up until April 5th from all the cases in Italy. Even now as Italy is in Phase 1, Phase 2 is in jeopardy in some areas. People can choose to ignore this, I have no doubt they drive drunk as well. Glenn doesn't want to talk politics but neither does the Lancet, usually. Their condemnation of the President is warranted. So as America heads down Death Road with "Tie Your Mother Down" cranked to 10 on the cheap "Made in China" crap stereo purchased at Walmart the wheels really are getting ready to fall off the Datsun. If you listen real close, you can just hear the screams of crazy coming the other way. What you will never hear is "cases disappear".
