Virology or Epidemiology Contested science? Masks? That you think this is contested science is the issue TimF. There is no contest. It is pointless engaging with a fantasy. It makes no sense to debate this, the world is not flat. That you insist your opinion should be considered when the shape of the world is considered isn't science. It isn't censoring to ignore your input or to recognize it for what is, fantasy. This is a virus, we know this coronavirus spreads through droplets. The word "protection" doesn't just mean that you are safer TimF, it means "we" are safer. Masks protect "us", my mask protects you, your refusal to accept this doesn't change it. You only cling to those past recommendations because they fit your bias. Go ahead show us a current link where the CDC and the WHO say "do not wear a mask". That you even put those organizations in you argument is just a poor attempt at legitimacy. You are 100% wrong on how science works TimF. Science doesn't work by examining data and theories and it never has. Science works by proposing hypotheses as truths and then testing them to see if they can be disproven. Science works by adopting mistakes, those mistakes become settled science, for awhile. In Fantasy Land the science is never settled, the earth is still flat. Masks work.
