Its always hard to pick a bottom in a stock but if this is not it it must be very close.i bought some more yesterday and am very tempted to buy even more.in todays market how many stocks can you buy with no debt ,excellent managment,in a growth industry with 4years worth of orders ,a pe of 13 .also highly significant is the announcement of negotiations in lake charles for a site in the port.this will give the company deep water access through a deep water channel to build the larger 6000ton platforms which are more profitable.i guess they have given up on the port of new iberia ever dredging the channel to accomadate the larger structures.the lake charles deal once completed will mean they can proceed much quicker than anticipated to bid on and build the larger platforms.
unifab is still suffering from the hype associated with the ipo and the terrible way in which it was managed ,it was so obvious that it was vastly overpriced in the short run in the 30-40$range and most people i talked to felt the ipo price of 18 was fair ,the price now is ridiculously undervalued and for the patient investor with a 1-2year time frame there will be ample rewards ,for the speculator wanting to make a fast buck in a few hours i hope they are all washed out of the stock now .
in addition one of the problems that unifab has been having is lack of skilled labor at the port of new iberia and this has been retarding their ability to grow, this is due to the booming economy in acadiana.i would think that there will be better availabibility of skilled labor in lake chares .another positive for the long term growth of the company .arh
