Sorry Cambridge University - it wont work as face to face lecture - students will be mediocre. The key to a good lecturer is to instill enthusiasm and eye contact with the students no matter as to the subject and interact with them in real time, and pepper the lecture with sublime or direct jokes on the lecture subject to release tensions. For this to happen the lecturer must "feel " the mood of the students When I do lecture I always once in a while depending on the class mood, crack a joke or ask an outlandish question to keep the students interested and have fun learning.
