Yes, I agree. The Holocaust was not at all funny, and it DID happen. I read your comment about it over at Boink, and I think it may to be subtle for some poeople over there to understand. Bricks just bounce off some of their heads, amazingly.

I think there is a huge difference between changing cultural understandings of who the heroes really are--for example in California there is an honest attempt to deglorify the nastier activities of the early Spanish and the way they treated the Indians--and deciding that something was no big deal when millions of people died, or denying that they did. Who is really behind creating this new myth, anyway?

And hey, I'm thinking about you, Alex, and wishing you wonderful happiness at this most blessed moment in your life.
