Ann, space filler, NOP, space filler, NOP

Space filler, NOP

>>"Why does Clinton wear underwear - To keep his ankles warm. (hope you hadn't heard that one,
and it was the cleanest one I could post)"

Sounds like a recycled blonde joke (with all due apologies to blondes!)

Don't tell my wife I said this. For some reason she never remembers jokes. I can tell her the same one three weeks apart and she laughs the same each time. It's not for lack of brains, either. I can see I'm digging this hole deeper and deeper. Anyway, she heard several good ones about Clinton yesterday, but couldn't remember a one.

To use space for stocktalk, I'm still not sure about the Compaq buyout of DEC. What Briefing had to say (has it been posted here yet?):

=====================================================================
What was Eckhard Pfeiffer thinking?... Compaq Computer announced
that it plans to acquire Digital Equipment for nearly $30 in cash and
$30 in stock... Total deal valued at $9.6 bln - the largest merger ever in
tech sector... DEC to become wholly owned subsidiary with same
leadership... Tough to figure this one given DEC's history of
underperforming market expectations and declining market share... CPQ
sees purchase as way to add to client base, increase exposure to
corporate/services market and take on IBM for status as "king of the
hill"... But Briefing's initial reaction to deal is that addition of DEC will
act as a drag on CPQ's growth... Corporate cultures also not the best of
matches... Not surprisingly CPQ share fell nearly 3 points on the
announcement.
=====================================================================

Now I made Sonny mad.:-}

Ciao,

Tony

Oh, the space filler, NOP was to get the joke line off the index of posts page. Thought you'd appreciate the NOP.<gg>

Ann, I guess we should have never talked about ADIC. But Wiz just assured me that it was acting well today. Could fool me. gg.

I have been watching the speech and some other stuff most of the evening and now I am paying for it. I guess I could have waited with the replies until tomorrow. Yes, that was definitely the cleanest joke I have heard. But we should really not blame him for anything, I heard that it was she that was the agressor. Where have we heard this one before?

I watched the 2 night shows and did they ever have a ball with this situation.
