A headline from today's WaPo:

Catholics and some Lutherans in Minnesota plan to buck their state’s governor and reopen churches May 26

I don't get this. I was raised Catholic. Back in the day, and perhaps still, attendance at Sunday mass was mandatory. But listening to mass on the radio fulfilled the obligation if for some reason one couldn't make it to church. You'd think that TV would make home participation even more adequate. I understand why the folks who worship by making a lot of noise and throwing themselves about might feel that they can't practice their religion outside a church setting with the similarly demonstrative but the Catholics?
