Pete, I guess then all of the grim faces I saw at the last meeting of the DC Y2K workgroup were due to their finding out that they would no longer be able to scam their bosses for more money in the IT budget on a Y2K related pretext... :0) Thanks for clearing that up for me. I mean, after all, these were just the folks who are charged with making their systems Y2K compliant for their individual firms/agencies. And all of that idle chatter they engaged in about developing serious contingency plans in case of anticipated major systemic failures was just a means of justifying taking off from work early that day.
