ALL: COnference call.
I listened to the conference call. It was optimistic about 1998, and
on track on the 2Billion part. RBOC spending is a non-issue as
management feels, that to remain competitive they have to invest.
Secondly, RBOC's spending varies from RBOC to RBOC. ALl positive.
The Asia impact is neglible according to management. Cablespan is
launched, and several new products towards the end of this year.
So, what is pulling this stock back. Simple, Merill Lynch, SoundView
all have an "egg" thrown in their face. Guess, what. Won't it be
dumb to come out and "upgrade" tellabs, 1 week after downgrading it?.
Sounds like someone wants this stock down.. the fundamentals are
sound. Advise to the long term holders. Just log off and visit after
1 quarter. Regards, Immi (short/long/ever term bull)

serry, thanks. i have bought tlab, the only tele-equipment
stock, every time the market has corrected since Dec 95 and
up to today. The funny thing is every time I bought though
I thought it has reached the bottom, the stock has dropped
lower. I believe in TLAB's fundamental and believe it will
recover like it used to. I like company (TLAB) that could
beat estimate in such difficult market.
