I knew a lot of investment bankers and most of them are decent people. I knew one who helped to rescue a municipal entity from bankruptcy. When he temporarily moved his family to that state, he moved into a nice neighborhood but drove a crappy car. he told me that his neighbors inquired if he couldn't get his firm to lease a BMW or Mercedes for him. He told me that when they asked that, he swore he was going to keep driving the eyesore car.
