Thanks! I use to be active in the WFR thread during the early days and bookmarked it a few days ago.

I live in St. Louis and became aware of MEMC after an officer of the company addressed my daughter's school class. She came home and said the guy was excited about the company and it was going public. I checked it out and bought a substantial amount of shares at 24 and 28.

After the stock ran up to 50, I attended their annual shareholder's meeting at which time the President announced he was leaving. He was also giving up $8,000,000 in stock options by not staying another 9 months. That was the signal to bail out which, it turned out, was a great move.

I can tell you that this company had everything going for it and somehow seems to have lost its spirit. But things change and I have to believe that the stock price may be nearing a bottom.

I'll lurk on the WFR thread for awhile and will try to contribute from time to time. I did talk one of my peers into buying WFR yesterday at 14 1/2 (better his money than mine).
