In re: Clinton, I heard today an UNCONFIRMED report that the Monica Lewinski tapes make reference to Katie Mahoney, one of three innocents murdered a few months ago at a Starbucks Coffee House in an elite section of Georgetown near the Capitol. The twenty-four year old Ms. Mahoney apparently had been an intern, like Lewinski. All three of the victims were murdered execution style. Mahoney was appparently killed first. The crime remains unsolved. No money or valuables were taken. Police are yet baffled as to motive. Lewinski is reported to have uttered on tapes now in the hands of Special Prosecutor Kenneth Starr words to the effect, "I don't want to end up like Katie Mahoney." I repeat, this is an unconfirmed story. If true, however, we may be witness to the unfolding of a latter day Macbeth drama. Indeed, if there is an historical precedent, it would be the Borgias of Venice, whose despicable villainies may pale in comparison to this seemingly conscienceless President and First Lady. God save our Republic.
