The NT work around was my decidedly non-technical interpretation of the DEC announcement (referenced in earlier post) @ infoworld.com This is the excerpt from Reuters re: Sun/Dell: Compaq - Digital deal seen spurring more alliances Reuters, Tuesday, January 27, 1998 at 16:53 ... "This (Compaq-Digital deal) does really offer a challenge to Sun and begs the question about what it will do to broaden its product line," said Frank Gens, senior analyst at International Data Corp.
