RE: Another zip atapi bits the dust..................................

I mean Gateway just sold another zip and two disks. I helped a friend configure his computer. His decision to include a zip was his own. The day he bought, Gateway announced an immediate price reduction of 5% to 15% price on home and office computer systems. My friend thought he would save a few bucks, but when he called he was told the price reductions were acheived by downgrading what was offered/standard on each computer configuration. In other words, the price reductions were not really price reductions, but system reconfigurations. Is Gateway's announcement slightly misleading or what.
