Been working late, but just can't wait for that wedding date...
Intel + CUBE
in the mean time, a simple PR indicating that they will be working together would be great
the Rare one will just have to get used to it

Technoplus Launches First DVD-Specific Die

<Picture>

[ Back to the News | Back HOME ]

Comline Electronics Wire via Individual Inc. -- Technoplus is now selling a disk die for
DVD which is capable of very precise high-cycle molding. A temperature adjustment
circuit has been developed specifically for DVD use, and a movable outer ring keeps
variations in disk thickness to within 10 micrometers. DVD production currently
depends on modifications to optical magnetic disk or CD-R dies, leaving Technoplus the
first to mass produce a die specifically for DVD technology. The Tokyo company
designed the product with precision temperature settings for high-cycle molding.
Through temperature adjustment and changes to outside ring movement timing, users
can easily set molding parameters that fit the capabilities of their own molders. Operated
at a resin temperature of 360 degrees C and a molding temperature of 100 degrees C, a
mere one second of cooling is enough to remove a disk. The price of the product ranges
from 10 million yen to 12 million yen depending on specifications.
