Gary -

Maybe it's time to de-escalate this conflict.

But maybe not, since it always pisses me off when someone says that because I don't agree with them, I don't want to listen to reality.

I know all about my legal redress options, and with respect to the current situation they suck. There is simply no way that any lawsuit is going to return any substantial some of money to me or my portfolio acocunt. Don't listen to me about this, ask Trufflette, or others on this thread and off who are more experienced with the market than I.

Another small point. One of the biggest reasons Iomega gets so little respect from The Street is that it gets so much attention on Motley Fool and here. Yes, we are part of the problem.

Since the Fool brothers were first, they deserve more of the blame. They were instrumental in creating the hype that created the bubble surrounding the split of 96. The stock has never fully recovered from that.

Lack of major coverage holds IOM back. Major investment houses are less willing to cover Iomega because the stock is over-analyzed on this forum and on the Fool board. So to some extent we are working against ourselves here.

I am mad, though, because just as it looked as though Iomega was starting to gain some credibility, in mid-fall, they announced that goofy split. When I read the news my immediate reaction was, "Oh, no." For that I am pissed off at the board.

The question is, what can I do about it?

- Allen

I wish you would listen to what everyone has to say about your lawsuit. The burden of proof is on you, and you have no grounds.

Face reality.
