OTTAWA, Canada--ProMIRA Software announced today that ACT
Manufacturing, Inc. has selected ProMIRA's REFLEX(tm) advanced
planning and scheduling system to enhance responsiveness and
support the rapid growth of their contract electronics
manufacturing operations.

ACT Manufacturing is a leading ISO 9002/TUV Certified contract
manufacturer, headquartered in Hudson, Massachusetts. ACT provides
value-added, turnkey contract manufacturing services to emerging and
major original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the commercial
electronics industry. The company supplies OEMs with electronic
interconnection assemblies, including complex printed circuit board
(PCB) assemblies utilizing advanced surface mount technology (SMT),
mechanical and molded cable and harness assemblies, electro-mechanical
sub-assemblies, and total system assembly and integration. OEMs use
ACT's assemblies in a wide range of applications, including local and
wide area computer networking systems, computer workstations and
systems, mass data storage systems, telecommunications, and medical
and industrial control equipment.

Greg Iodice, ACT Vice President of Operations, stated, "The contract
electronics manufacturing business is an extremely dynamic
environment. To continue our rate of growth, we needed the most
advanced tools available for innovative problem-solving and action-
oriented continuous improvement. We selected the REFLEX product as a
daily planning and decision support tool, and for its powerful
analysis capabilities."

"We had heard about the dramatic results other electronics
manufacturers have gotten from REFLEX, but now we've started
seeing just how powerful it can be for us," added Bob Clemente,
ACT Materials Manager. "We've already used REFLEX to better align
our material supply with demand, and to re-engineer some of our key
planning policies and parameters. Based on our early experience,
we're expecting to dramatically improve our ability to respond to
changing customers needs with REFLEX."

ACT has implemented REFLEX at its Hudson plant and expects to expand
its use to additional plants in the U.S. and Europe.
