DM, I buy cpq options very selectively. and it's to hedge stk postions.
the summer option play of 100 call contracts is a once in a blue moon thing.so, I buy options.
but, I also know more more about cpq and options and stk than anyone on this planet<gggggg>
I almost never lose money of cpq options.
it's very selective and I wait til the street has the price either way to high or way to low.
I don't post all my cpq option plays since I don't want people to think they can beat the cpq option game.
they can't.....
I'm still kicking myself on making only 75k in 4 days on that 100
call cpq contracts( purchased minutes after they announced the split in summer) last summer when I shuld have held them and made 500k ion 2 months...what a dummy I was. did the same thing in 1987 when I pick up
100's of call options for october. in 1987 they thought cpq would be bankrupt by oct 1987 and options were cheap.
they released the 386 inside and beat everyone else and stk went from 23 to 75.
those options were worth millions but I sold after a 5 digit profit.
like oct 30's and oct 40's that would have been 40 points in the money.
