Good stuff, Jay. No mention of nasdaq I guess.

I'm starting to appreciate the company's desire to be number one. From the Q3 report: "... aggressively pursuing our product development plans, and have begun adding additional research and development resources... in anticipation of what we believe will be a very dynamic data storage market during calendar 1998."

They've been awarded 33 patents and are looking for more.

Greg

I just finished listening to the call replay and think your notes are through and on target. I will add the NASDAQ relisting was brought up and the additional outside director was discussed. Mgmt said they anticipated that the outside director situation would be completed within one week and NASDAQ would be notified. So it would seem that once the formality of the director positon is completed, the relisting could be very close at hand.

My one problem with the call was the call administrator (no one affiliated with MTIC) who only gave the names of the individuals asking questions and not their firms. The Needham analyst identified himself as such and so did the guy from Sands Bros. (never heard of them). I think this would be beneficial to see who is watching the company currently because these will be the firms most likely to starting talking and analyzing the company in the public forum once the relisting occurs. But because of the procedure used, we now don't know if Salamon or H&Q, both at the last call, were represented yesterday. Bummer. I think I might drop Frank an e-mail on this to see what firms were on-line with the call.

The call was upbeat and positive. I must confess with the way the stock acted yesterday, I was looking for something. I didn't hear anything that changed my short or long term outlook for the company. In fact, if continued weakness is shown in the stock this week, I'll add to my position.

It's really frustrating to see MTIC do so well & get hammered on share price.

Does anyone know what the figures for MTIC have been touted for % market share of the FC market when it takes root?

Will it take FC to bring MTIC to investors attention?

BTW, the bickering I'm starting to see on this thread is frequently found on threads of declining stocks and it's not healthy. If we can stick to discussing the business and not who's long or short, I think we can have a more pleasant experience here.

good luck to all.
