Wiz,

I agree about the market being a dangerous place, and rewarding place.

Zeroing in on the stocks you want to buy and waiting for the market to meet the price that YOU are willing based on your own ideas, valuations and expectations is a far superior formula for achieving both short and long term stock market success.

True, but If I waited to buy the stocks I want/watch when they hit 'my' price, I would never buy. I guess thats my trade off. Sometimes I buy low, sometimes it's high. As it applies to my long term holdings, the short terms are a little different.

I'm trying to build my "core" long term portfolio. If I do buy MSFT, I wouldn't sell it until retirement, unless of course I had an emergency need for cash. Doubtful, The bank loves to give us money, at a price of course.

In 30 years it's not going to make much difference if I spent a few dollars to much on my inital investment. The problem is you ask the broker about a stock, they tell you it's to high so you don't buy it then it goes higher. Well sometimes you just have to dive in take a chance and get on with it. If my investments tank, I'll just hold them until they recover or go to 0. That's why I'm still holding on to DHTI.

Thanks for your thoughts I really do appreciate them.

Did you ever buy FNTN?? I did take a look at it but I don't think I'll buy anything for a while. These Clinton and Iraq problems have me a little concerned about the market right now.

Have a great day

Take Care

Ann

Wiz,

In my last post the zeroing in.. was your post to me. FYI Be warned, if you go back in an edit a post it takes your bolding an italics off. Silly thing, I waited to long to edit and didn't notice it.
