FYI: I've also made some modifications to the chart page.

webbindustries.com

You may have noticed bars along the bottom of the TLB chart; they're volume bars, and now they're on the candle chart as well. The TLB volume bars are cummulative; they're the total volume during the time the bar was the last one on the chart. It may or may not be informative; you tell me. I'm also not entirely sure that they line up right; the volume bars might be offset one place to the right.

Doug.

Hummm? I must have the older/original Recovery Spread template for sure. I stand corrected and I glad you pointed that out.I thought those numbers I suggested came out as the best combination using the previous template. In hind sight, it works but may not have been the absolute best profit. The 15 CCs would be covered by the 1000 shares and the 9 longs call with no problem. But, I like your 20 CCs against 10 long calls even better than mine.

I came in late last night and my brain did not catch the other possibilities I guess. That's for being my extra eyes and brain!!!!

We are getting very specific and technical with our new tools! I hope the others are understanding this. We are really taking CCing to the max around here! We also need to do the PUTs side of the equation via a template now that we have pooled our collective brain power into a spreadsheet that is easier to use. We may want to provide more dialog on it's use and features more on this forum.

Thanks

Hi Doug,

I tried running the solver and no joy. I believe you might be using excel v4, while I'm using excel v7(excel for win95). I do have the solver add in checked on. I also tried physically moving the solver.xla to the directory with spread50.xls. This doesn't work either.

If you or anyone knows how to update your macro to excel v7 (which should also work with v8, excel 97) I'd greatly appreciate it.

I'm still working on the put insurance version of the enhanced version of Herm's ss.
