RE: Tie Ratio / Advertising Budget.

A couple other tidbits that I found while looking through old news releases, messages, and SEC filings:

* When Iomega announced the millionth Zip sold, they also announced that they had sold "almost 10 million" Zip disks. So it appears that the tie ratio--at least at that time--was about 9 or 10. I don't think that they've ever published the number of disks sold since that time (but I could be wrong).

* In the 1996 10-K, they quantified that $70 million of the $191 million SG&A number was from advertising. That's about 35%. If 1997 had the same percent, about $100 million of the $292 million was advertising. So it looks like they're doubling (at least) their advertising budget here in 1998.

Didn't Iomega state that they were suspending Zip 1 million
milestones after the 12 million announcement? How will you keep
track of these milestones (assuming there will even be any more)?
