1) AMD has made it pretty clear that they CAN'T meet demand.
2) Analysts are accepting AMD's reluctance to give estimates because the is such a CLEARLY wide divergence of possible outcomes. If they successfully get .25u up and running, they'll ship a LOT of chips. If they don't, they'll ship far fewer. What would you have AMD estimate? An expected value somewhere in the middle which will almost certainly incorrect? For once AMD is doing the proper thing and keeping their mouths shut.
