Rainier: <<Has anyone noticed that some quick price declines are often preceded by Trend Accelerations? Examples: MOT, ABTX>> Yes! Wish I had a little better data on how consistent this was with shorter term trends (since that's about all we can work with right now). For the longer term uptrends like MOT and ABTX, I'm sure you noticed how the candles and the volume hinted of "time to get out" before the declines happened.

[EK] Rainier, I have been watching the EK chart, and throughout
it's downtrend is has been trading at the top of it's channel
(bollinger band), and then when it touches or barely exceeds that
bollinger band, it immediately starts another downtrend and moves,
(at a minimum) back to the middle of the channel and/or to its lower
channel (the bottom of its bollinger band). At the point it
penetrates or touches the higher bb or the lower bb, there has been an immeditate reversal. It is now at the high end of it's channel, and,
as a matter of fact, today (intraday), it is above the high of January
7, and trying to break the 66 1/4 close on 11/10. If it cannot
sustain its uptrend, I would expect that it will reverse and return
to its lower channel ($54 ish), and possibly lower. On the other
hand, a strong showing within the next few days could also give
this stock some energy to move up. Looking at the stochastics, and
MACD, they show a different picture as they are in much better shape today than they have been in the past when EK has traded at the top of it's channel. They are not showing overbought, which would bode well for a possible positive turn up.
As you know, I am no expert, but would be interested comments and more importantly, critique.
