I'd have to say that the shorts were smarter this time on Creative. Despite my being long on the stock, it was rather silly of me not to offload immed after the announcement of mediocre results. The quarters ahead are likely to be difficult. Asian exposure is not a good thing at this moment. NASDAQ isn't a very forward looking market anyway. Hence, from a short term perspective, the downside risk exceeded the upside potential.

If you are investing because the company is good value, then why fret ? Be like Warrent Buffett. Add to the position if the story is still true. My top outperformers have been those which I've held onto for over three years. Creative is going to be one of them unless something fundamental goes wrong. Don't bother about the short term gyrations. At the moment, the things the company are doing is exactly what I would have wanted them to do: hunker down and survive the coming two-three lean years !

That's just my two cents worth.
