--folks can make statistics say--

oh, wow, the american postmodern(?) cowboy maxim:

"figures don't lie but liars do figure"
:0)

i was introduced to this notion by a college athletics coach/emeritus professor.
here's the apparent origin and chronology:

"... In Congress in 1852... hasty errors, and hasty letters, ought to be carefully avoided,
particularly in matters of arithmetic, for, unfortunately, figures never lie, though men
sometimes do
..."

later, some folks attributed the phrase to the clever wordsmith, mark twain.

seems that today, the distinction between objective (numbers) and subjective (interpretation)
has turned into (another) pie-in-the-face clown act.
aka, teotwawki.

I hope you're not missing the point TJ.

We have a serious problem with law enforcement in the US.

Blacks are not exclusively the victims but they seem to endure a disproportional amount of the mistreatment.

This was today's headline (occurred Friday night):

It's essential that you watch the video in the article. There is another video that shows Brooks running from the cops with the taser pointed back at them - but at no time while he was running away were the cops lives in imminent peril --- thus the shooting was not warranted.

.... and today Atlanta burns.

Cop who shot Rayshard Brooks dead is fired and police chief quits as bodycam shows the black man talking politely to officers seconds before he was killed - as protests erupt across Atlanta

______________________________________________________

This happened a couple of years ago and cop was acquitted.

Watch the video -- best, do so with wife and daughter for feedback.

I've learned about all these stats in recent years. Yes it is a total joke how the media and academia portray it. Black on white violent crime 25 times more likely than the reverse for example never mentioned..

Now we had 10 unarmed blacks and 20 unarmed whites killed by police in an ENTIRE year nationwide. Better chance of dying being struck by lightning or a tornado perhaps??

Yes MSP execution was horrible but all signs show they had a long history of shady dealings (dirty cop and lifelong crackhead working security a lounge that fronted illegal activities) it wasn't a race issue

Police bad bad bad defund the police ...White man bad bad bad..

Let the white man die off defund the police all will then be fine in the hoods

Look into Saul Alinsky read the book by Howard Zinn 'A People's History of the USA'. An entire generation of American's brains washed by commie ideology and hatred for America. Want to destroy it. Meanwhile our real enemies quietly watching see how weak we really are..

And almost forgot we got a near depression still dealing with and all this debt overhang that will overwhelm the entire economy if and when interest rates normalize down the road..
