Didn't you go to school and learn history? They were all Democrats. That's rather ignorant to be unaware of historical fact. .Democrats led the rebellion You're making up your little story to jam the real Democratic Party which is currently kicking the crazy guys balls. Here's the real story as I understand it. They called themselves Democrats at that moment in time because Lincoln was a Republican and he kicked their asses.... After the war they kept that title in defiance of Lincoln and his victory over them and it stayed that way largely until LBJ passed the Civil Rights Act of 64....now, in defiance of Johnson most began the change over to Republican.....nothing has really changed with regard to civil rights ...Gooberland is still largely racist and Republican.
