Just wanted to add my opinion on the HD stocks. I think that HD stocks have hit a low (in general), I don't see it going lower than 14 1/2 before resuming it's climb. I think that the market has already corrected for the oversupply problem (which has been building up now for quite some time) and what we are seeing now is something like the life cereal commercial: "I'm not going to buy it, YOU buy it." Well, let's just say I'm mikey, and I like it.

I think WDC holds a great value in terms of customer loyalty, and I think that WDC has the little things that make a HD nice (EG: low noise). I think WDC is the leader, and I think they command a higher price than average (it's a premium drive). As soon as people realize that size isn't everything, there may a change in the market, and I think that WDC is a step ahead.

Just my useless opinion.

PS: Useless anecdote - I shipped 2 computers from Dallas Texas to Fremont California via parcel post (USPS). My boards became dislodged, my metal case severely dented, the plastic part of the case broken. Two 1.6GB and 1 1.0GB WDC hard drive came through at 100% .. I didn't even back them up, and they had years of data. I'm not joking. (The case was in danger) :-) But they still work great, and still no backups have been made. That's how I feel about WDC. Also: we routinely have Quantums and Maxtors go bad at work in our arcade games. FYI: 150G's listed as shock rating for non-operating mode .. so as you can see, this isn't as insane as it might seem at first (esp considering the inertia of the case + power supply). No other damage to M/B etc BTW... Just the case. Okay, maybe I'm insane.. :-)
