We need to turn our attention to finding ways of getting those non-members to ante up.

If the non-members are seeing ads, they are paying as they go.

David, I e-mailed the links to all the SI Y2K related threads to the Year 2000 webmaster and, lo and behold, they added them to their site! Now when you view a Y2K company on their stock page, pressing "chat" will bring you to the corresponding SI thread: year2000.com

The point is that if you want to increase readership for a given company's thread you like, you can always try the same approach. If I had a publicly traded company I would do it. Of course you can't make the new reader join, but you have to start somewhere!

- Jeff
