Rich,
Have you read the book or are you relying on your usual right wing sources?
Yes, I read the book. I doubt you did, or that you understood anything the book said.
Why do you think that CA no longer exists?
I already told you. CA did what the Obama campaign used to do, but stopped once Facebook decided not to allow it to happen.
What do you know about micro targeting voters?
It's no different than "micro-targeting" potential customers using data-mining. All the big companies do it, including Google and Facebook.
To suggest that they didn't have a major role in 2016 equals pure ignorance.
We were talking about Russia, not CA.

Data-mining is all too common in the information age. Neither CA nor Russia were any more influential than all the other political data-miners. CA just had access to data they should not have had access to, but it's no different than the data the Obama campaign accessed before Facebook changed the rules.

I'm tired of repeating myself, and it's clear that you are unable to grasp the technical details involved here. I am very well-versed and interested in issues of information security and privacy, so I know WTF I'm talking about.

You are just another #orangemanbad NPC, so all you're good for is spamming slogans.
