Wheat First Butcher maitained his BUY rating on DSC yesterday! Waterhouse Sec. does not give you the most recent report which was issued yesterday but they provide you with the one prior to the most recent one. Here is WFB's report from 12/16/97. Wheat First issued Company Report On December 16, 1997 Wheat First analyst Patrick Houghton issued a 5 page Company Report on DSC COMM. Report highlights: " A BUY rating was maintained with a 12 month target price of $42. The company reported third quarter EPS of $0.24 versus $0.01 in the same period last year. Earnings were driven by a $140.7 million collection from Next Level Communications as damages fo theft of trade secrets. Earnings were also driven by strong growth in emerging markets. The fiscal 1998 EPS estimate was maintained at $1.43. "

SaskTel chose DSC's access platforms for a network-wide rollout of Next Generation Digital Loop Carrier (NGDLC) systems, which will provide fiber- optic performance throughout Saskatchewan. SaskTel took delivery and jointly installed the DSC platforms in late 1997, and terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
