Mindmeld, Check out Bruwin's post on this. It was not Federal troops. They were on standby. Then who did the dirty work, if it wasn't federal troops? And under who's orders? Every report I've seen says that Trump ordered federal troops to clear the way. If they didn't do the dirty work, but instead left it to the D.C. National Guard or the local authorities or whatever, that seems like a very weak nuance. In any case, what was the point? To actually bring law and order back to D.C.? Of course not. Even Trump doesn't seem concerned about the restless natives living within walking distance of the White House. Tenchusatsu
