IMHO, real docs and research scientists don't care what Trump says or doesn't say. They want to find a cure or at least a treatment as much or more than anyone. Their lives are on the line more than most people, or at least their colleagues lives are if they themselves aren't working in an ER or a ward for COVID patients. And working on something like this is probably why at least some of them got into this line of work. It is just Trumpian paranoid narcissist nonsense to claim otherwise.
