<<Besides employing SUNW servers for mission critical apps, does your org. employ any mainframes for MCA or is SUNW your only MCA-server provider?>>
I work for a company. I'd rather not reveal which one ( maybe I'm a little paranoid?) , but I'll tell you it is a large US electrical utility. SUN is our main UNIX SERVER, but we also have IBM mainframes and NT servers. I believe we have a total of about 12,000 NT desktops and about a 1,000 or so Unix desktops ( mostly HP's ). We also have IBM and HP UNIX servers, even a couple of OS/2 servers, so we are a real mixed bunch. I work for the group that takes care of UNIX servers, so that's my main area of expertise. The company employs about 10,000 permanent employees and about 20,000 contract workers.
BTW, we also own companies in Europe, South America and Australia.
